I know, I know. We just finished season one of Fear the Walking Dead and the hotly anticipated season six of its predecessor, The Walking Dead, premiered. So, it seems a little sudden that we’re already discussing the next spin-off.
No worries, you won’t have to spend much more of your time in front of the television to keep up. Fear the Walking Dead: Flight 462 is a short web series that appears online while also airing during the new season of The Walking Dead. The premiere installment was released in early October and introduced viewers to a new way to fear zombies…on a plane. Here’s a quick look.
It will be interesting to see how the outbreak affects those up in the air, but it does look as if one character will make it to the ground safely as one character, not specified as of yet, will be introduced in Fear the Walking Dead’s second season, being released sometime in 2016. Planes are nerve-wracking and gross enough as is, but now I have to think about zombie outbreaks? Maybe the show will offer helpful tips in the event that it ever happens to you.
Fear the Walking Dead had an outstandingly solid premiere season with an average of 11.2 million viewers per episode, including DVR and On Demand, and is currently the highest-rated first season in cable television history. The Walking Dead isn’t doing too bad either. Over 14 million people tuned in to the season opener on October 11th and there are a lot of juicy things to look forward to. Like, the Negan rumors. Anyone?
So will you be paying much attention to Flight 462? The short clips will be featured each week over the course of season six’s 16 episodes and are sure to be a bumpy ride.
