Hello? Is anyone out there? It’s me, the Fictionmonger! Ah, yes, you, you’re here! Oh, where’s the fiction? Er, you have to promise not to kill me, or my colleagues here at Sci-Fi Bloggers, before I tell you anything. Deal? Great. Okay, there is no Friday Fiction this week.
Hey…hey, hey, HEY, HEY, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! STOP! NO! NO! NOT THE PARROTS! ANYTHING BUT THE—phew, okay, just stay over there while I explain. No, don’t come anywhere near me. Just let me tell you what’s going on, all right? Okay, it’s pretty simple: all of the writers for Friday Fiction, the primary two being Brandon Scott and Dylan Alexander, are all encountering “real world” problems (whatever those are) involving a theatrical production that make writing and editing slightly difficult. So, for this Friday and the next, there will be no Friday Fiction. Now, this can be viewed in both positive and negative lights. With so much time, it is possible that Echoes – Part Two and Part Three can be released on the same day. Then again, there is the matter of waiting. It is difficult to wait, there’s no denying it. However, if you review the works of the past that have been brought to the table (Path to Nowhere, “Garbage Man”, The Augmented Star), you’ll see that patience does, in fact, pay off. Here at Sci-Fi Bloggers, we will forever value quality over quantity. It is in our nature to do so.
So, please don’t be alarmed by what’s happening. It’s all for the better. We’ll have more fiction coming your way the week after next. Until then, this is the Fictionmonger letting you know the world is getting brighter.
